I don't know, I just had the idea one day and thought it would be funny. So I printed out stickers in a bunch of different sizes, took them everywhere with me, and started taking photos. It turned into an instant obsession, and I quickly ended up with enough for a book. So I sent it out to 5 of my favorite publishers, and got turned down by all of them except for Chronicle Books, who happened to be my first choice anyway. Turned out they were the smart ones, because we're at over 70,000 copies so far and still going strong.
